The Iowa Federation of Humane Societies (IFHS) was established in 1973 with the purpose of promoting the advocacy and welfare of animals through an association of licensed animal shelters, humane societies, animal welfare organizations and concerned individuals working cooperatively for humane education and legislation.
As an IFHS member, you will be helping animals throughout Iowa. There are many ways to get involved, including participating in our regular membership meetings, our annual Iowans For Animal Welfare conference, and working to strengthen Iowa’s animal protection laws.
